Journeys: Bolivia-Journey to Bolivia to See Ourselves
Students will examine their own deeply held cultural values, beliefs and assumptions around a variety of concepts. Simultaneously students will learn in class and then experience in country perhaps quite different deeply held beliefs and values that shape life in Bolivia. The course will provide a broad overview of Bolivian history to provide context for understanding the impact of this history on modern day Bolivia. The role of women/gender equality; access to education; and poverty will be course features as well as a three-day service project, in-country with a school.
The travel portion of this GBL 102 will be in May, (not March).
